Makes 2 loaves

2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter(2 sticks)--softened
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 can pumpkin -- (16oz)(about 2 cups)
4 cups flour
2/3 cup water

Cream sugar, butter, oil, and eggs. Add pumpkin, molasses, and all dry ingredients except the flour. Mix well. Add the flour and water and mix until smooth. Pour batter into 2 loaf pans that have been sprayed with cooking spray or lined with baking paper(preferred method). Bake in a 350 degree oven until centers test done. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes, then remove from pans and place on cooling racks to cool.
