1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter -- melted
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/4 cups pecans -- chopped or halves

Mix all ingredients except pecans and beat until well blended. Mix in pecans until well coated. Pour into unbaked 9" deep dish pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees until filling is set and crust is golden brown.
