Pan Sauted Pork Chops     Back to Meat Dishes     Printer Friendly Page

2 butterfly pork chops
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
4 slices red onion
4 slices fresh tomato
1/2 green bell pepper -- cut in strips
1 tablespoon garlic -- minced
salt and pepper -- (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon cumin
monterey jack cheese

Add the olive oil and butter to a large skillet. Add the garlic. Season pork chops with salt and pepper and place in skillet. Place the onion slices in the butter and oil and saute. Cook pork chops until one side is browned. Turn pork chops over and season with the cumin. Top with the sauted onion slices, bell pepper strips, and sliced tomatoes. Cover pan and cook until brown and tender. If desired top with strips or monterey jack cheese just before serving.

Note: If desired, top with strips of monterey jack cheese just before serving.
