Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies

2 sticks butter -- softened (1 cup)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar -- packed
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup raisins
1 cup pecans -- chopped

Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Add flour and mix completely. Stir in oatmeal, pecans, and raisins by hand. Drop onto a cookie sheet with a spoon or ice cream scoop. Use baking paper on cookie sheet if available. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool until cookies are firm. Remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling racks to cool completely.
