Serves 2

4 eggs -- beaten
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons heavy cream -- (whipping cream)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
salt and pepper -- to taste
4 slices bread
powdered sugar
2 tablespoons butter

Combine eggs, cream, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and pepper. Beat slightly by hand. In a hot skillet or griddle add 2 tablespoons of butter. Dip bread in egg mixture and coat both sides completely. Place in pan and cook over medium heat, turning to cook both sides. When finished lightly dust with powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup or your favorite jam or jelly.
