Yeilds about 24 Brownies

2 1/2 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups cocoa
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk -- (eagle brand)
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cups butter -- melted
1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups pecans -- chopped

Cream eggs and sugar. Add baking powder, salt, and cocoa. Add vanilla and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until smooth. Add flour and mix until smooth. Add pecans, chocolate chips, and melted butter. Mix just enough to blend in the melted butter. Spray sides of a 10" X 16" pan with cooking spray and line the bottom with baking paper. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes until center is set. Remove and place on cooling rack and let cool for about 10 minutes. Turn out on a cooling rack and remove baking paper. Invert on another cooling rack and let cool completely. Cut into squares and apply icing if desired.
