1 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups cornmeal
5 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs -- beaten
1 stick butter -- (melted) (1/2 cup)
2 cups milk

Mix all ingredients with a fork or spoon, but do not over mix. If desired add 2 tablespoons of bacon fat for flavor. Pour into a 13 X 9 pan (1/4 sheet), or a 10" cast iron skillet, that has been sprayed with a cooking spray. Bake in a 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
